Mighty Media Group Inc. has 25 years of hands-on experience streaming audio and video from operating almost two dozen different streaming web sites and/or apps at company-owned stations. The company’s experience launching a national satellite radio network added greatly to this technical foundation. The current Mighty Media Group project is developing a streaming video platform to super-serving specific niche markets. This video app is the next logical step to leverage the company’s skills in streaming apps, networks and broadcasting.

25 Years Experience.

Spanning three decades, Mighty Media Group has a long history of streaming audio spanning three decades, starting with music and talk audio streaming on San Francisco radio stations KSFO and KYA FM in the mid-1990s. Experience with streaming video began in the late 1990s, as video ad pre-rolls and video ad post-rolls were added to the audio streams at many company stations. Some stations also featured news and music videos on their websites and more recently their apps, and many offered exclusive audio and video content produced by the stations.

Audio & Video Streaming Apps.

Over the next 20 years, almost two dozen of the company-owned major market radio stations utilized 24/7 streaming on their websites and dedicated apps. The company regularly worked with teams of suppliers and specialists to utilize the latest in the constantly changing world of streaming audio and video technologies.

Satellite Network.

The company’s short foray into creating a new 24/7 national satellite audio network in the late 1990s also greatly contributed greatly to the foundation of knowledge in streaming technologies.

The Future.

As its next project, Mighty Media Group is focusing its efforts into developing a streaming video platform for apps and websites. This is being designed to super-serve specific niche markets, not unlike laser-targeted radio formats used by today’s most successful radio stations. The first of these, a non-profit religious app and website targeting young adults, is expected to debut early 2021.
